1/2 cup unbleached-organic whole wheat CAKE flour
12/ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
2 egg whites
1 large whole egg
1/4 cup natural brown cane sugar
6 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat over to 350. Spray or wipe inside of 8 inch square baking pan with flaxeed oil. In medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa, salt. Mix well. In a separate large bowl, whip together eggs, sugar, applesauce, oil, butter and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture earlier until just blended well. DO NOT OVERMIX. Pour batter into oiled pan, sprinkle with walnuts. Bake until just set and a toothpick inserted in center come out clean. About 25 minutes. Place pan on cooling rack for about 15 minutes. Cut into squares and serve
